Negotiation Competition

In 2023, DDRIOC’s Student Advisory Committee will be hosting its first Alternative Dispute Resolution competition. Negotiations frequently encounter ethical challenges, and the skills that students can gain from responding to these types of dilemmas are transferable to any profession, law, medicine, human resources etc.

This year’s negotiation will model a sharing circle. In a sharing circle, everyone is equal to one another, and there is an expectation of listening, learning, and respecting each party’s perspective. The intention is to be opened to understanding and connecting with everyone present in the circle.

We will be offering a workshop to better educate interested students about what sharing circles entail.

Who Can Participate:

Any student enrolled in a Canadian undergraduate program. Discipline and program year do not matter.
