He has spent more than two decades as a senior corporate executive with Fortune Global 500 companies in the insurance, fund management, banking, and wealth management sectors. Throughout his corporate career, he has also served as an independent board member for companies in Hong Kong and Singapore, contributing to governance, compliance, and risk-management oversight.
Joseph’s global standing in the financial arena led to his invitation by the Government of Abu Dhabi to serve as an expert advisor within its offshore financial centre. In this capacity, he worked across diverse legal frameworks, including jurisdictions grounded in common-law systems and sharia-based legal structures, strengthening his ability to navigate culturally and procedurally complex environments.
He is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, allowing him to support parties from multiple cultural backgrounds and provide a linguistically accessible mediation experience. His culturally informed approach is supported by formal mediation training and his Q.Med designation, with his professional focus now directed toward applying his financial and commercial background to dispute resolution.
